TRANSBOUNDARY TRANSPORTATION BY THE SEA FULFILLED NUCLEAR FUEL

Abstract

Article is devoted creation of conditions to reliable transboundary transportation fulfilled nuclear топлив. Distinction of concept of the fulfilled nuclear fuel - the irradiated nuclear fuel and a radioactive waste is shown. The review of the saved up fulfilled nuclear fuel on atomic power stations of the world according to the International agency on an atomic energy is spent. Process a waste in appreciable scales only four powers - the Great Britain, France, Russia and Japan, first three of them render corresponding services to other countries. Now the European atomic power stations send the nuclear waste to England or France, and in other cases transport on thousand kilometres (miles). In 2001 the parliament of Russia has passed the law resolving import in the country of a radioactive waste from abroad which along with France and the Great Britain plays today the leading part in regeneration of the fulfilled nuclear fuel of the foreign atomic power stations. Transportation of radioactive materials between many countries occurs in particular sea transport, taking into account performance of all requirements of international legal regulation. In work the attention is paid to carrying out on a vessel of organizational and technical actions for maintenance of safety of the personnel and environment, necessity of the radiating control in the course of transportation of the fulfilled nuclear fuel.
