HUMAN FACTOR IN DECISION-MAKING NAVIGATIONAL AND WAYS OF REDUCING ITS INFLUENCE
Abstract
The introduction of the latest technical controls vessel movement in a natural way to "rip" the navigator of the process to maintain a given level of security, because it becomes unable to directly and fully control the level in real time. Most navigational accidents happen not because of failure of means of navigation or management of vessel traffic, but because of the unavailability of navigators to take timely and correct management decisions in accordance with the evolving situation. The aim of the study is to identify the key components of the phenomenon of "human factor" and the identification of effective ways to reduce its negative impact on the safety of modern shipping. The article discusses the impact of human factors on the safety of modern navigation. The features of the process of functioning of the modern automated ship control systems and processes of interaction with them, navigator. It is proved that the problem of reducing the negative impact of human factors is complex and needs to be addressed at the same time improving the technical capabilities of the automated systems combined with new courses of training of seafarers, focused on improving the quality of training in the field of bridge resource management and decision-making.
